Bao’s journey

A course on design thinking for SME's and entrepreneurs in Vietnam

Mission: In co-creation with the local GIZ employees, we designed stories and visuals around the HCD course content. Selecting key tools for this introduction course was essential as the objective was to get users to want to learn more on HCD. The course content was inspired by IDEO (founders of the HCD approach) and Butterfly Works (International HCD practitioners for over 25 years). The course evolved along the story of Bao, an employee who gets introduced to HCD by a new intern. Behavioural change is inspired by the transformation of the main character along the storyline.
The course was tested and integrated on the LMS (Atingi). It is available in English and Vietnamese.

Context: In Vietnam, the Innovation Factory project from GIZ wanted to offer human centred design (HCD) tools for entrepreneurs to design businesses around their users. The emphasis was put on a sustainable and user centric approach. We were subcontracted by Mind games as experts to develop the content, learning experience, storytelling and visuals of the course.
